Salary$60,000-70,000

About the role

The Operations Specialist, Outbound Supply Chain owns Lalo's day-to-day outbound logistics from the moment inventory is received through delivery to the customer or retailer. That means order routing, warehouse coordination, inventory accuracy, and wholesale/DTC order management, plus the daily operational execution that keeps product moving reliably out the door. This is a foundational role, and we're building it deliberately: you'll grow your own expertise on the job, and organization, judgment, and follow-through matter more to us than prior industry experience. As Lalo grows our retail and channel partnerships, this role is expected to grow alongside it. While this position generally follows standard business hours, peak operations periods may call for extra flexibility to keep fulfillment moving smoothly and reliably.

Lalo is a modern family brand designing thoughtfully made products that support families through the earliest stages of life. We are a fast-growing, design-driven company where ideas move quickly and ownership matters. Our work balances creativity with operational rigor, and we build through close collaboration, high standards, and a shared commitment to doing our work well.

What you'll do

Order Routing / Processing

  • Manage day-to-day order routing decisions across carriers, warehouses, and retailer routing systems (including transitions to new retailer platforms, e.g. Walmart's routing system)
  • Own the operational judgment calls that keep orders moving efficiently and cost-effectively

Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Monitor on-hand inventory and coordinate directly with the warehouse team
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies quickly, before they become customer or retailer problems

Outbound Shipment Execution

  • Ensure outbound orders ship on time to DTC customers and to retail/wholesale accounts
  • Own the outbound side of the operation end to end, catching issues before they cause delays

Customer & Retailer Issue Resolution

  • Handle day-to-day shipment issues (missing items, delayed orders, routing errors) in close partnership with the CX team
  • Know when to solve it yourself and when to flag it up and bring a recommendation, not just a problem, when you do

Inbound Handoff

  • Partner with our inbound team at the point goods are received into inventory to keep the inbound-to-outbound handoff clean and gap-free

Process & Documentation

  • Help build outbound-side documentation, templates, and specs as the function matures
  • Spot opportunities to simplify or automate outbound workflows, and bring ideas forward, including where AI tools can help us move faster and cleaner

Who you are

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning the day-to-day while keeping the bigger picture in view
  • A pragmatic problem solver who can make good decisions with incomplete information and keep things moving
  • Open-minded and coachable, you're building expertise here, not arriving with all the answers, and you're energized by that
  • A doer who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told. You see a gap, you close it
  • Comfortable learning new systems and tools quickly (warehouse management systems, retailer routing platforms, inventory platforms like CIN7), and curious about how AI and automation can make your work sharper and faster
  • A clear communicator who can work directly with warehouse teams, retail partners, and internal teams like CX and Operations
  • Energized by a fast-moving, hands-on startup environment where ownership matters and no two days look exactly the same

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, or operations
  • Familiarity with WMS, inventory management systems, ERPs (e.g., CIN7) or retailer routing platforms
  • Experience with consumer products, e-commerce, or wholesale/retail order flows
  • Background in a high-growth or startup environment

Compensation & benefits

The salary range for this role is $60,000-70,000, depending on experience and location. We offer the full Lalo benefits package — health, dental, vision, 12 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, 401(k), and one of every product we make if you have little ones at home.

Lalo is an equal opportunity employer. We're building a team that reflects the families we serve.
